The surging demand for Silver.

Silver is a precious metal that has been known as the metal of ancient civilizations. The increasing demand for Silver (in the form of silver coins, silver bars and even silver bullion) has grown tremendously in recent years.

Silver bullion is the form of silver traded for investment purposes. From silver metal, coins or rounds, bars, and ingots are struck or cast to form a physical product that is bought or sold on the basis of the silver content. This bullion is formed into Silver bars for many investors. These bars of silver are produced in 99.99% fine silver and come in four general sizes with the bar’s weight and purity stamped on each bar.

Silver coins run the gamut from ancient coins to modern American classics like the Silver Eagle, Morgan Silver Dollar and many other collectible U.S. silver coins. One of the most popular is the Silver Eagle, whose design is taken from the Walking Liberty Half Dollar whish was released for circulation in the U.S. from the years 1916 to 1947. This great piece of silver was designed by Adolph A. Weinman, and is considered to be one of the most beautiful U.S. coin designs ever created. The reverse features a heraldic eagle, designed by John Mercanti especially for the Silver Eagle coin.

Why is silver so popular?

Well, for certain our economic uncertainty is one factor that has led to a dramatic increase in demand for physical precious metals like silver, gold and even platinum. The United States Mint has experienced difficultly meeting the sudden high demand for bullion coins, and silver coins like the American Eagle silver coin, Morgan silver dollar coin and many other silver coins made from silver bullion.

Silver’s popularity continues to grow every day, which impacts precious metal investors and silver collectors alike. Demand trends suggest another fresh all time record high will be achieved for silver coins in the year ahead.
